Policy Co-Lead (Volunteer)
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Co-Lead who can combine political analysis with team leadership.
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 5+ hours per week

Do you want to shape the political program of a new movement from the ground up?
Volt Denmark is looking for a proactive and structured Policy Co-Lead to build the political and intellectual backbone of our movement. Volt Denmark is not just a local party, we are part of a massive European network. You will be the architect of our domestic program and our primary diplomat within the Volt Europa network with regards to policy.
We are looking for autonomous individuals who understand the political landscape, can manage a team, and are ready to create and shape Volt Denmark's political program based on Volt's values.
What you will do:
You will define what we stand for and advocate for it within Denmark and across Europe.
Build & Lead the Team: You will not write every policy alone. Your primary goal is to recruit, structure, and lead a team of policy enthusiasts and experts. You will manage their workflow and help them grow into their roles.
Draft the Political Program: You will oversee the creation and refinement of Volt Denmark's comprehensive Policy Program. You will analyze Volt Europa’s "Mapping of Policies" and adapt them to fit the specific needs and reality of the Danish context.
Internal Representation: You will represent Volt Denmark in pan-European policy calls and working groups. You will be the bridge that ensures Denmark's voice is heard in Brussels and beyond.
Strategic Alignment: You will work closely with the Communications Team to ensure our policy ideas are translated into clear, understandable messages for the public.
Must-Haves:
Execution mapping: You can take a broad objective (like "write a program about X") and proactively break it down into actionable steps.
Relevant Background: You have a background or relevant experience in, policy, political Science, law, economics, or significant experience in project/people Management with a strong interest in politics.
Leadership Skills: You know how to delegate, motivate volunteers, and build a team culture.
Language Skills: You are fluent in English. Fluency in Danish or other European languages is a plus.
Digital Proficiency: We use asana, the google suite and the related tools, which you must know or be willing to learn.
