Community Co Lead (Volunteer)
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for a Community Co Lead who can combine people focused leadership with strong organizational skills.
Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 5+ hours per week
The Role:
Are you energized by people, community, and political engagement?
Do you know how to build culture, belonging, and momentum in a remote first organization?
Volt Denmark is looking for a proactive and experienced Community Co-Lead to build the heart of our movement. The foundation of our movement and party, our members, are our greatest strength. You will be the first point of contact for everyone who joins Volt Denmark, the architect of our internal culture, and the bridge between digital interest and real world political engagement.
This is not an entry level role. We are looking for autonomous individuals who are comfortable working digitally, managing their own time, and leading without constant supervision.
What you will do:
You will design and own the entire member journey from first contact to long term engagement.
Build and Lead the Team: You will not do everything yourself. Your primary responsibility is to recruit, train, and lead a team of community volunteers who support onboarding, events, and member care. You will create structures, documentation, and processes that enable the team to succeed.
Onboarding and First Impressions: You will manage the full onboarding pipeline. This includes screening applications, scheduling and conducting initial 45 minute welcome interviews, and ensuring new members feel informed, valued, and inspired from day one.
Member Integration: You will guide new members through Volt Denmark’s onboarding process, ensuring access to Haiilo, the communication channels, and allocation in teams such as Policy, Communications, or Tech.
Community Building: You will organize physical meet ups and social events across Denmark to transform digital connections into trusted relationships and an engaged community.
Internal Collaboration: You will work closely with the Communications Team to align messaging and with administration to manage member data, access rights, and internal processes.
Vacancy and Talent Management: You will identify gaps across teams, manage internal vacancies, and ensure that volunteers are matched with roles that fit their skills and motivation.
Must-Haves:
Autonomy and maturity: You have experience working independently, take initiative, and see what needs to be done without needing constant guidance.
Leadership skills: You know how to motivate volunteers, delegate responsibility, and build a healthy and inclusive team culture.
Digital proficiency: You are comfortable working in or willing to learn Google Workspace including Drive, Calendar, Meet, and Groups, and in a fully remote environment.
Language skills: You are fluent in English. Danish and other languages are a plus.
Location: You are physically based in Denmark and able to attend or organize occasional in person meet ups.
Availability: You can reliably commit 5 hours per week, with flexibility and some availability in the evenings for meetings or calls.
Bonus Points:
Experience in HR, recruitment, or community management.
Experience managing volunteers in nonprofit or political organizations.
