Fundraising Co-Lead

Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a Co Lead who can combine strategic thinking with strong organizational skills and a high sense of responsibility.

Location: Remote
Time Commitment: 5+ hours per week

The Role

Politics requires vision, but change requires resources.
Do you want to build the financial foundation of a growing political movement?

Volt Denmark is looking for a proactive and structured Fundraising Co Lead to build and lead our fundraising efforts. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing networks with organizations and people, with a focus on funding. It can be everything from grassroots donations to larger fundraising initiatives, while ensuring transparency, trust, and alignment with our values.

Volt Denmark is part of a wider European and Nordic network. You will cooperate closely with other fundraising teams across Volt and help adapt best practices to the local context.

This is not an entry level role. We are looking for autonomous individuals who can lead volunteers, translate strategy into action, and take ownership of results.

What You will do

You will define and lead the fundraising work of Volt Denmark.

  • Build and Lead the Fundraising Team: You will recruit, coordinate, and support fundraising volunteers with different strengths, such as donor outreach, grants, campaigns, or events. You will help create clear processes, roles, and priorities so the team can work effectively.

  • Fundraising Strategy and Execution: You will be responsible for developing and implementing a fundraising strategy for Volt Denmark. This may include individual donations, crowdfunding campaigns, events, grants, partnerships, or merchandise. You will ensure activities align with both short term needs and long term sustainability.

  • Cross Functional Collaboration: You will work closely with the Nordics and Treasury team to ensure correct reporting and full transparency of funds. You will collaborate with the Communications team to craft compelling fundraising messages and campaigns. You will coordinate with the Community team to engage members and supporters as donors and ambassadors.

  • External and Internal Alignment: You may represent Volt Denmark in Nordic or European fundraising coordination, sharing experiences and aligning approaches where relevant.

Must-Haves:

  • Integrity: You treat financial resources with care, transparency, and responsibility.

  • Leadership skills: You know how to motivate volunteers, delegate tasks, and build a collaborative team culture.

  • Strategic thinking: You can translate goals into concrete plans and adapt when circumstances change.

  • Language skills: You are fluent in English. Danish and other European languages are a plus.

  • Digital proficiency: You are comfortable working with Google Workspace and willing to learn fundraising tools such as CRM systems or donation platforms.

  • Reliability and autonomy: You can manage your time, follow through on commitments, and take initiative without constant oversight.
