Folkemødet Bornholm 2024
2024 is a year full of important political events. Just after participating in the European Parliament elections in 14 countries in a truly pan-European campaign, Volt will have the chance to bring our energy to the most important Danish democracy festival: Folkemødet! With hopefully several more elected Volters in the EP, this is our chance to make a big European, purple splash at Folkemødet the weekend after the EP24 elections. We will get the chance to show Denmark that European politics can be positive, accessible and fun!
We have gathered more than a third of the funds we need to attend Folkemødet – can you help us to reach the rest?
To enable us to get to Folkemødet, you can make a donation through MobilePay (50 kr. - 100 kr. - 250 kr. - 500 kr. - 1000 kr. or another amount), or donate directly to our bank account with the description ‘Folkemødet donation’ (DK6295700012651953).
We have secured a great spot at Folkemødet with lots of traffic (F3) but we have one challenge: joining Folkemødet is not free! We already need to commit to this by the first of Marc! While this is not a huge amount of money, it is a lot for a voluntary organisation like us.

We have already gathered 12.568 kr. through several donations (thank you to those who have already made a donation!) and some funds from our own budget, so we can almost be present at Folkemødet! However, we still need to gather more funds in order to afford renting a tent, benches and a table, which will allow us to host exciting debates on topics important for the future of Europe!

Why should there be a Volt tent at Folkemødet?
This would be the first time a pan-European party will have its own tent at the democracy festival. We would love to invite people in for exciting debates about the future of Europe, which our own tent would enable us to do. We have already made great contributions to the debate at other Danish democracy festivals with participation from all over Europe - let’s bring this energy to the island of Bornholm!
It’s important that Europe stands united in these times of crisis and incredible challenges - let’s get Volt a big platform on Bornholm and bring our European energy to Folkemødet!
