Debate: Future of Farming
Climate activists have been taken over by tractors as farmers have taken to the streets over legislative changes that are meant to address the climate impact of industrialised farming.
On 8 May, at Frederiksberg Rådhuskælder, we are going to talk about how we envision a new age of farming, of food security, of land protection and what agricultural innovation actually means and what the role of the EU should be.
The next European Parliament will have to tackle the Common Agricultural Plan (CAP) and envision new ways of empowering sustainable farming - but what will our candidates do and how do they plan to shape the debate if they are elected?
This is our 3rd series of English language debates and as always, the debate is introduced by experts, who will frame the debate and followed by a Q&A session with our European Candidates. All in English.
See you on 8 May!
Background - Why an English language debate?
227.000 EU Citizens live in Denmark and around 50.000 of these live in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg. Leading up to the European Parliament elections to be held on the 9th of June 2024, there is a decision to be made: where to vote and then register accordingly.
We want to make sure that all citizens are welcomed into the European debates and discussions and we hope to see you here!
