Rwanda is not the solution!

Denmark and Europe must have a fair and humane refugee policy - that requires a party like Volt!

Did you know that Denmark's Rwanda idea is ONLY possible because Denmark has a legal opt-out in relation to European cooperation?

The legal opt-out means that Danish politicians can refrain from following the EU's standards. A fair and solidary refugee policy begins with stronger cooperation with the EU. Without reservations.

Volt has a pan-European policy for dealing with refugees.

We want to reform the Dublin regulation so that the work is distributed equally among member states.

We wish

  • Strengthening Danish education, for language learning, is an important step towards both the labor market and the country.

  • Refugees must receive the support they need and have access to the labor market from day 1!

  • To recognize that refugees rarely return home and therefore work more to include new arrivals in Denmark and Europe.

  • Asylum applications must be concluded more quickly to avoid limbo

  • Actively involve civil society and business in the active integration of new arrivals

  • More international coordination of the entire asylum process to prevent and reduce refugee crises

  • Embrace differentiated roles in different parts of the world - do what you do best.
