Foreign labor?

Volt supports workforce mobility by removing existing barriers. Our policy tries to improve conditions for both permanent and temporary migrants. It has to be done in different ways, and you can read more about that here.

Below are a few concrete proposals for what we want to do in Denmark.

Firstly, we will:

  • Lower the amount limit (the annual salary requirement) to DKK 325,000 per year. At the moment it stands at DKK 465,000.

Secondly, we will:

  • Reduce processing times in SIRI, which deals with work and residence permits. Currently, the shortest processing time targets are 1 month. By making them shorter, it becomes easier for our companies to adapt quickly.

The 5+1 Challenges

Volt has defined 5+1 fundamental Challenges that need to be tackled in each European country and in Europe as a whole.

Why 5 + 1 Challenges?

The 5 Challenges are basically the same for every country, but their implementation can be adapted on the national level to take into account local realities.

The +1 Challenge – our proposal to reform and strengthen the EU – is identical across all our national programmes.
